A flight attendant for American Airlines traveling to Miami was arrested in South America according to Local10.com. She was arrested for allegedly attempting to smuggle expensive goods out of the country including almost 5 pounds of gold.
Thousands of dollars, antique coins and jewelry, were also discovered on the woman according to Argentinian police.
Officials said some of the goods were painted black to disguise their value.
The flight attendant, identified by Argentine media as The 57-year-old named Laura Schulz painted some items black to hide the value, but was discovered on her route to Miami.
Schulz, who is from Argentina, told officials it was her life savings.
