Popular online game store STEAM banned NFTS, and as a recent turn events; Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney is open to letting games that use blockchain technology and NFTs onto its PC store. This comes on the heels of some controversial statements made by the CEO on the topic of NFTs not too long ago.
Sweeney tweeted about NFTs saying “the whole field is currently tangled up with an intractable mix of scams, interesting decentralized tech foundations, and scams.”
It makes one wonder what made the CEO change his mind? Perhaps it is the popularity of the sector or maybe it is just good ol fashion greed.
