In case you haven’t heard; Austin Texas is a boom town for many who fled authoritarian measures put in place by the covid regime. Notable names who moved to Austin include Joe Rogan and Elon Musk who infamously shared a joint on Rogan’s live podcast. Rogan is a strong advocate for legalization and has done more to promote Austin Texas and its economy than perhaps any other celebrity ever. Rogan has repeatedly talked about his relationship with Gov. Greg Abbott who stated Monday that “Small possession of marijuana is not the type of violation that we want to stockpile jails with,”. The Austin based group “Ground Game Texas” collected the amount of signatures needed to place a measure before voters which would prohibit any police officer from placing people under arrest for low-level pot charges in certain cases. If the measure passes in May this would essentially decriminalize possession of small amounts of marijuana.
