Marijuana Monopoly Ended!

There has been a federal monopoly on the manufacturing of marijuana for research and that monopoly has officially ended. Two companies announced to Marijuana Moment this week “that they’ve harvested cannabis with the blessing of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).”

In the article published yesterday it is detailed that Groff North America Hemplex and the Biopharmaceutical Research Company (BRC) received registrations from DEA and have began cultivating cannabis. They’re approved to grow crops for internal quality control and calibration purposes. As per the steps forward in marijauna decentralization this is a big hop because the term “Calibiration” is being approved and able to sell their crops to the DEA who would then distribute that crop out for clinical research and drug development.
