El Salvador will be issuing a billion dollars worth in bonds on the Blockstream’s Liquid Network, which is a sidechain of Bitcoin. The money from the bonds will be split down the middle with $500 million going directly to build energy and bitcoin mining infrastructure in El Salvador and the other half allocated in bitcoin.
