Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong saw an influx of over a million new users after announcing its NFT platform. Since then the number of applicants has exploded. The amount still makes up a fraction of Coinbase’s 68 million verified users and it’s 8.8 million monthly active users. Despite this Armstrong announced “We are very excited about NFTs, this is going to be a very large area for crypto in the future, and it already is today… [NFTs] could be as big or bigger [than Crypto]”.
