Alright, NFT’s are now a royal affair. The Czech Lobkowicz family is auctioning off the digital certificates to restore castles and artwork according to Bloomberg.
The Czech Republic’s Lobkowicz family is a 600-year-old Bohemian noble family that is embracing the NFT movement sweeping the world. The family is in hope that the NFT craze will help pay for the restoration of its vast artwork collection and help restore its ancestral castle. The family had once sponsored Beethoven, but had unfortunately lost everything to the Nazis and Communists during the war. They reclaimed their castles and artwork in the 1990s after the fall of the Soviet Union and plans on auctioning off several NFTs at a conference they will host next month in Prague at the Lobkowicz Palace.
